Nowadays almost every one of us lives in a constant whirl like a squirrel on a treadmill. People invent and test new ways to overcome laziness, procrastination and become more productive. Sure, such a strategy can help the humanity increase their productivity and reach new heights, but it seems success and financial prosperity aren’t the main priorities. Do you believe it’s possible to be happy when you live according to a strict schedule and behave like a robot? In my opinion, a predictable and monotonous life is a terrible thing that kills women’s happiness.
I don’t want you to become an indifferent and irresponsible person but there are some situations when it’s good to fret and fume, and some moments when you can give up everything with ease and let yourself relax for a while. Open your eyes to see that many decisions made by you during the day are pointless actions that steal your time and energy. Here are a few situations when you can say ‘the hell with it’ without being conscience-stricken.
1. When you feel unhappy
Many pessimistic people plunge themselves into depression and don’t even realize that they’re the true source of their unhappiness. But why do these people become miserable? They work hard, sleep less, eat junk food, overload their minds with odd information, use gadgets twenty four hours a day and live their lives according to someone else’s rules and expectations. This is the most common recipe for unhappiness.
If you feel that you’re a victim of the same vicious circle and you feel it’s necessary to change something in your life, try to start from the healing phrase ‘the hell with it.’ Just screw your courage to give up everything for lost. This, at first glance, difficult decision will clear your mind and heart of negative and obsessive thoughts. You’ll have an opportunity to look at your problem from a different angle and turn over a new leaf.
2. When you don’t know what to wear
Unlike men, women are more obsessed with their appearances. We spend hours in front of the mirror trying to look like a million dollars. But it’s incredibly difficult to create new looks and shine like Victoria’s Secret angels all the time. I can state with assurance that almost all people don’t care about what outfits you wear. If you don’t have new pieces of clothing and have n money to buy them, ignore all the trends and wear something that makes you feel confident. One of my friends sticks to various fashion rules and wholeheartedly believes that wearing the same outfit twice is a bad idea. I’m sure this fashion rule is nothing but a stereotype.

3. When you want to stay home
One of the most challenging things in the world is to look into your friend’s eyes and decline his or her invitation to hang out somewhere at the end of the day. When I say ‘no’, I automatically start reproaching myself for laziness, inactivity, lack of initiative and indifference. But at the same time, I hate to do something against my own will. This chain of contradictory thoughts and hesitations usually give birth to a conflict inside my mind.
It’s wonderful to sacrifice yourself for your best friend, but it’s important to satisfy your own needs as well. Before you make a decision, you should remember the following things. In most cases, cool parties with best friends are accompanied by a terrible hangover. Furthermore, if you say ‘yes’, you’ll have to waste at least one or two hours racking your brains over an outfit and makeup. If you feel that your heart doesn’t want to party, just say ‘the hell with it’ and watch a wonderful movie.
4. When you owe someone a grudge
Holding grudges is a negative habit peculiar to many people, especially women. However, this habit can ruin your health, destabilizes your nervous system and spoils the relationship between you and society. People can’t read your mind and identify the origin of resentment hidden somewhere in the depth of your heart. It’s much better to resolve conflicts and handle difficult situations at your earliest convenience.
If you feel that your friendship or love towards the offender are much stronger than the feeling of resentment and pain, then you shouldn’t give them silent treatment or take a revenge, but just say ‘the hell with it’ and begin to speak to them as if nothing happened. This gesture will help you solve the conflict and put your best foot forward.
5. When you’re on a diet but want to eat something tasty
Every girl dreams of having a slim waistline and sexy abs. Unfortunately, when achieving this weight loss goal, women become confident, but rarely happy. They work hard and stick to various diets that make them feel tired and emotionally exhausted. I think strict diets are a real torture. Your success and physical health depend mostly on your mood and emotional state.
If you want to taste something you haven’t eaten for a long time, then it means that your body gives you a signal that you should make a small exception and correct your strict diet. Don’t torture yourself thinking about all the possible consequences, but just say ‘the hell with it’ and treat yourself to that chocolate dessert. But don’t lose control and stodge yourself with cakes or other tempting yummy scrummy treats. This bold decision will certainly make your eyes shine with happiness and help your relieve stress.
6. When you’re in love
Love is one of the most beautiful yet complicated feelings in the world. Millions of people suffer from an unrequited love, and unfortunately, do nothing to dot the I’s and cross the T’s. Whether you’re a woman or a man, you should be ready to make the first step and express your feelings or desires.
If you’re in love with someone, remember the phrase ‘the hell with it’ and try your luck. There’s a high probability that he will disappoint you and broke your heart, but you shouldn’t fall into despondency. This will either stop your sufferings and uncertainty, or help you find your true love, if your potential partner is interested in you.

7. When you have to wave goodbye to your warm bed
One of the most difficult moments for me is waking up early in the morning. No matter what time I go to bed, I open my eyes and realize that my blanket and pillow are the best friends I’ve ever had. I’m definitely not the only one who thinks this way each morning. There are millions of people like me who find it difficult to bid farewell to a warm castle of sweet dreams.
I’m not telling you to play hooky and stay home without a legitimate reason on a regular basis. But I know how to prolong the pleasure of lying in a warm bed. Just say ‘the hell with it’ and choose a casual dress instead of running around the mirror and trying to pick the perfect outfit, you’ll be able to save about 20 minutes. Sometimes, even twenty minutes can make your day and lift the spirit.
No matter how you slice it, healthy indifference and the hell with it attitude can work miracles and significantly improve the quality of your complicated and unhappy life. But it’s crucially important to know where to draw the line. When do you typically say ‘the hell with it’?
