Homemade body sprays are incredibly fun and easy to create. You can choose your own favorite scent and experiment with different scent combinations. When you’re on a tight budget, it’s a great way to save money without sacrificing your beauty habits. Whether you’re looking to create a strong, long-lasting scent or you simply need a quick body spray, I’ve got some versatile ideas for you. All natural homemade body sprays contain little to no harsh chemicals and they make wonderful Christmas gifts. While many girls make simple body sprays – they simply add their favorite extract to distilled water, I suggest you try to make more long-lasting DIY body sprays.

1. Body Spray to Boost the Christmas Spirit

This body spray is quick and easy to create and makes a festive gift. With a host of Christmas scents out there, it’s not hard to choose your favorite ones. However, if you’re going to make Christmas body sprays for your friends, opt for a banal cinnamon and orange combo. Pour distilled water in 8 oz. spray container. Add 15 drops of sweet orange and 10 drops of cinnamon leaf essential oils to it. Shake well and you have a fantastic Christmas spirit booster.

2. Energizing Body Spray

Grapefruit has been shown to significantly increase energy levels. When combined with orange, this combo makes an incredibly energizing body spray. Pour distilled water in 8 oz. spray container. Add 15 drops of grapefruit and 15 drops of sweet orange essential oils to it. Shake well. If you’re looking for unusual scent combos, try experimenting with lavender and lemon essential oils.

3. Long-Lasting Body Spray

Want a body spray that will last for hours? No worries. Pour 4-5 ounces distilled water, 2 ounces perfumer’s alcohol, and 10-15 drops of your favorite essential oils in 8 oz. spray container. Seal, shake and leave for two hours before using it. If you don’t have perfumer’s alcohol, you can use vodka or witch hazel. When using vodka, make sure it’s allowed in your country.

4. Relaxing Body Spray

Vanilla, lavender, bergamot, rose, jasmine, sandalwood and many other relaxing essential oils can help you reduce stress and fall asleep faster. Add 15 drops of the oil to 8 oz. spray container with distilled water and ta-da! You’ve made an all-natural relaxing body spray with little to no effort at all, not to mention that you save some bucks. But don’t overdo it. Using too much essential oils in your body spray may cause headache and allergy.

5. Body Spray to Boost Your Brain Function

This is an ideal gift for writers, artists and other creative people who sometimes need to encourage the brain to work at optimum capacity. You will need 10 drops of patchouli, 5-7 drops of rosemary and 8 drops of peppermint essential oils to create a body spray that helps to boost the brain power. Patchouli helps to improve concentration, rosemary is linked to increase brain performance, and peppermint helps to relieve nausea, headache, and boost your energy levels. All in one.

Most of these body sprays may be cloudy at first. Typically, they clear within a few hours. Although these body sprays are natural, they’re not kid-friendly. Moreover, they’re not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women, and those who suffer from any kind of allergy. Store your body spray in the fridge and make sure you use it within a month. These body spray recipes are versatile so feel free to experiment with essential oils and create your own scent combos.
