6 Things to Do Right Before the Arrival of 2018

Kate Gitman December 30, 2017 - in Lifestyle

Are you already thinking about the New Year and things you would like to do? You are on the right path, but there are still some things that you should do in 2017 before it slips away.

There are several things you can do in this short time, from beautiful gestures and firm decisions to raunchy explorations. Hence, I have highlighted some of the things I think should make your end of the year to-do list.

1. Make a decision to get rid of one bad habit

What is that one habit that is nauseating and everyone, including you, know that you should not be doing it, but you just can’t stop?

It is not a spell; you can stop it. You just have not been stern with your decision to stop it. So here is your chance to make it symbolical. Let the habit go with 2017.

2. Declutter

Get rid of things, people, and everything that is negative. Start with the things in your house first. All those books, furniture, clothes, utensils, and other junks that you do not use anymore should be packed into big bags and donated to people who might need them.

Go through your devices and delete pictures, videos, and apps that you do not need anymore. Then move on to people and delete people who bring more damage to you than good. Clear your path, enter into the new year looking sparkling.

3. Set goals for the new year

So many people take the new year resolution so seriously and prepare so much for it as if it can magically change them from who they are to who they want to become. Well, if you are not a fan of the new year resolutions, you do not have to worry yourself about it.

Take your time, reflect on your life’s goal and dream. Think about all the major achievements you had in the year, ponder on all the things you did and how they can contribute to achieving your life’s goal. From a vantage point of better understanding, set new goals for the new year, making sure that the goals will in the long run help to shape your dream.

4. Go shopping

This is a perfect time to give you and yours a treat. Go shopping, buy yourself shoes, bags, clothes, accessories, or even a new phone. You can ask your friends and family what will make a perfect gift to them, and if you can afford the gifts, buy them. It shows that you appreciate their presence in your life throughout the year.

5. Call your parents

The end of the year is one of the best time to show people who matter to you and you care about. Your parents should take the number one spot. The great way to appreciate them is to buy them amazing gifts and visit them.

However, that might be hard to do, yet you can still buy gifts and have them delivered to them at their house. Then pick up your phone, call them, and have a long, fun chat with them.

6. Do that one thing you procrastinated on throughout the year

You probably told yourself at the beginning of the 2017 year that you would do something beautiful, crazy, or just a pure adventure, but you procrastinated about it. In the blink of an eye, the year is almost over, and you are yet to do that thing.

Now is your chance; do not go into the new year without checking it done. So do not think about it, do not think about the consequences (I hope they are not toxic), and just do it.

Remember, we often regret that we did not do things we told ourselves we would do more than things we did. So check all your end of the year to-do list.
