7 Tips to Have Positive Dreams During Sleep
Every night billions of people close their eyes and plunge into the world of dreams. A voyage to this wonderful world helps them escape from the harsh and challenging reality, obsessive thoughts, pain, and emotions.
Unfortunately, night dreams are not always positive and pleasant. We often have nightmares and suffer from sleep disorders because of them. Luckily, almost all sleep problems are solvable and you can change your dreams and significantly improve your sleep. Here is how to do it.
1. Sleep on an orthopedic mattress
Many people have nightmares or have no dreams during a night’s sleep. Not long ago, I was one of them, but fortunately, I found a solution. As soon as I waved goodbye to my old uncomfortable couch and started sleeping on a bed with an orthopedic mattress, the problem faded away and I began having colorful dreams.
If you want to improve the quality of your sleep, you should make sure that your bed provides orthopedically correct support for your body and does not cause muscle spasms in your back and neck.
2. De-stress your body and mind
Our dreams are the reflection of our thoughts, hopes, inner conflicts, fears, and insecurities. It means the content and quality of your dreams depend mostly on your emotional state. If you always feel stressed out, anxious and depressed, you are more likely to wake up exhausted after disturbing dreams.
Break this vicious circle by doing the following: lower cortisol levels, relax your body and step by step change your mindset. Make meditation a part of your daily routine and the result will not be long in coming.
3. Absorb less information before falling asleep
Say ‘no’ to constant absorption and processing of negative and depressive information, especially in the evening. Social media try to increase their ratings by broadcasting mostly sentimental and obsessive TV shows or films that focus people’s attention on the most relevant social issues and dilemmas.
As a result, many people, especially emotionally sensitive personalities do not have pleasant dreams, because bad news keeps them awake and worried at night. Instead of watching TV or checking your Facebook feed, consider reading a relaxing book.

4. Design a good dream
Rather than think about the world apocalypse or run all possible troubles and risks over in your head, boost your imagination. Your imagination is a powerful tool that can create and design everything.
Next time you go to bed and close your eyes, imagine the plot, location and some details of a desired dream. Pay attention to the scents, sounds and other, at first, glance insignificant moments. Visualize the desirable until you enter a dream state and finally fall asleep.
5. Do not drink or eat before sleep
The human body loses a lot of water during the sleep, but it does not mean that you should drink water like a camel. If you make such a mistake, then there is a high probability that a sudden urge to pee will wake you up at the most exciting part of a vivid dream.
It is better to restore water balance right after morning awakening. Moreover, it is recommended to refrain from eating fatty foods and sweets in the evening because they can cause heaviness in the stomach.
6. Sleep in complete silence and darkness
Want to sleep like a baby and enjoy good dreams? Create a calm sleeping environment in your bedroom, especially if you are emotionally sensitive person. Do not let different sounds and sudden flashes of light disturb your dream.
Complete silence and darkness will help your body maintain healthy levels of melatonin and give you an opportunity to control your dreams. As a result, you will sleep better and remember the most important details of your dreams with ease.
